Rakeshsinh Solanki was arrested by the Surat crime branch in August for his alleged involvement in circulating pamphlets and distributing pen drives to defame state BJP president C R Paatil
The Crime Branch filed an application with the Surat District Court for the addition of IPC sections 467 (forgery of valuable security, will), and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating.) on Friday in the complaint of Sandeep Desai.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Crime Branch had arrested BJP leader Rakeshsinh Solanki and his two aides, Khumansinh Patel and Dipu alias Sonu Yadav, for their roles in defaming Paatil. However, later, all the three were released on bail.
