International Relation Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Gowher Rizvi said that the linkage of the CMSMEs entrepreneurs with international supply chains has now come to be a pressing demand of the time to maintain the rally of growth.
Dr. Gowher Rizvi made the comments at a virtual seminar on “CMSMEs in Bangladesh: Journey, Challenges and Future Direction” on Saturday.
Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Center of University of Dhaka organised the seminar as part of its REVIVE Project, a joint collaboration of ICE Center and UNDP Bangladesh, said a press release.
Presided over by ICE Center Vice-Chairman Dr. Khondoker Bazlul Haque and moderated by ICE Center Executive Director Md. Rashedur Rahman, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank AKM Sajedur Rahman and President of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Barrister Nihad Kabir spoke as distinguished guests.
Gowher Rizvi for linking CMSMEs with global supply chains

DHAKA, Jan 17, 2021 (BSS) – Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi today underscored the need of making links between cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprise (CMSME) sector and international supply chain for business growth in the global arena.
“Linking (making a connection bridge) our entrepreneurs to the international supply chain is a matter of time as the training and skill development activities which are being undertaken for these entrepreneurs are very timely initiatives but the problem is in linking them (entrepreneurs) with the market,” he said.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the Dhaka Divisional Webinar titled ‘CMSMES: Journey, Challenges and Future Direction in Bangladesh’ here.
