Cary, N.C. The Panther Creek Catamounts erased a late 14-7 deficit to defeat the Olympic Trojans 21-14 in the first round of the 4AA playoffs on Friday night in Cary.
Sophomore quarterback Amari Odom and his Panther Creek offense were challenged by a strong defense, and they rose to the occasion with two clutch touchdowns in the latter half of the fourth to send their team into the second round.
Down 14-7, Odom rolled to his right and unleashed a prayer of a pass that bounced off a set of hands and into those of receiver Khilen Holliman into the end zone to tie the game.
