On Friday, Feb. 5, from 6 - 8 p.m., Nick Kranz will give a public talk entitled “Maitri for Our Times.   Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 6 - 8 p.m., Rachel Nixon and Kelly Richards will offer a 4-week course, “Loving-Kindness for Ourselves.” The programs are open to the community by donation. Registration is required to receive Zoom links.  The Friday, February 5 event will explore the questions: How is caring for myself the same or different than caring for others? How can I find balance and have internal boundaries? For those of us who have been conditioned in modern, individualist cultures, self-compassion and maitri (loving-kindness) are essential.
