Just yesterday, K2 (8611) was the last of the 14 8000-meter peaks on Earth that had yet to be climbed in winter. No more. At 5 p.m. January 16, a group of 10 Nepali/Sherpa climbers from separate expeditions ascended the last few meters to the summit together as one. Finally we did it. THE IMPOSSIBLE IS MADE POSSIBLE! #K2winter History made for mankind, History made for Nepal! At 17:00 hrs local time @nimsdai and team summited K2, teaming up with Mingma G and team and a member from SST, Sona Sherpa. A very special moment. The whole team waited 10 meters below the summit to form a group then stepped onto the summit together whilst singing our Nepalese National Anthem.
