DNCC demolishes over 400 structures in Mirpur

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has so far demolished over 400 structures, most of them shops, during an eviction drive in Dhaka s Mirpur area.
The DNCC has started the drive around 10:00am and continued till 5:00pm.
During the drive today, Md Sadaqat Khan Fakku, acting president of Mirpur-11 New Society Market, told The Daily Star that they will go to court against DNCC s move.
Akash Kabi Das, a shoe shop owner near Bihari camp, said that he still has not managed to find a place where he can store his products after his shop was demolished today.
