MANSEHRA: Two road accidents in Lower Kohistan district claimed lives of 10 people, including a man and his two siblings, on Wednesday.
The first incident occurred on the Karakoram Highway near Karo area when an ambulance carrying a body from Swat to the Kandia valley of Upper Kohistan district plunged into a ravine, leaving seven people critically injured.
The locals shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced all of them dead.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Umair (driver) belonging to Swat; Khushal Khan, Khan Bahadar and his wife, Firdous Bibi, Noorul Haq and his minor son and daughter, all belonging to Asghal area of Upper Kohistan.

MANSEHRA: At least 11 persons, including a man and his two siblings, were killed in two separate road accidents in Lower Kohistan on Wednesday.
The first incident occurred at Karakoram Highway near Karo area of Lower Kohistan when an ambulance plunged into a ravine. The ambulance, carrying a body from Swat, was on its way to the Kandia valley of Upper Kohistan.
The locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced eight of them dead.
Those killed in the incident were identified as Muhammad Umair (driver) belonging to Swat, Khushal Khan, Khan Bahadar and his wife, Fardous, Noorul Haq and his son and a daughter, all belonged to Asghal area of Upper Kohistan.
Jirga gets consent to decide boundary dispute

MANSEHRA: A jirga jointly organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan governments to settle the bilateral boundary dispute has received the consent from the inhabitants of the zone for accepting the decision.
“We have met with those settling dispute over the territory between KP and GB and got their consent to accept the decision taken by us to settle the issue amicably once and for all,” Maulana Khan Bahadar, the head of the joint Jirga, told reporters in the Dasu on Tuesday.
Flanked by the spokesman of the Jirga, Shamsur Rehman, he said that 24-strong jirga jointly formed by the secretaries of both the federating units visited the disputed territory and met with residents of Harban Basha (KP) and Thor (GB) and got their consent.
