The virtual symposium titled “Learning Loss in the Coronavirus Pandemic: Effects and Solutions” organized by the Ministry of Education began on Monday under the auspices of Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education.
Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, and a number of experts from UNICEF, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the International Association for Educational Achievement Assessment (IEA) attended the virtual symposium.
The symposium is aimed at teachers, administrators, supervisors, social and psychological specialists, students, and their parents in different governorates, as well as those concerned from the ministry, and a number of government and private agencies.

MUSCAT: Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) participated in the 2021 Higher Education Institutions’ Induction Forum, organised by the Directorate General of Education in Al Buraimi governorate in cooperation with the Career Counselling Platform.
The forum was held under the patronage of Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Education Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Education in the presence of Dr Fathia Khalfan Sulaiman Al Saddi, Director General of Education of Al Buraimi governorate. The forum was attended by chairpersons and members of the board of directors of more than 30 higher education institutions in Oman. The forum, which began on February 21 will continue until March 4 barring public holidays, featured more than 30 presentations and workshops.

Muscat: Schools in the Sultanate received their students on Sunday after a gap of 309 days amid caution and commitment to safety in an atmosphere of energy and vitality.

Muscat educational institutions received students of the first, fourth, fifth, ninth and eleventh grades, based on the decision of the Supreme Committee for the gradual return of students to the integrated education system according to specific operational procedure.
