The crackdown on the Punjab factory owner and two men from Khambhalia town of Devbhumi Dwarka district came after police raided a shop near Khambhalia and seized 15,624 bottles bearing labels of Ayurvedic syrup.
The police in Devbhumi Dwarka have shut down a factory in Punjab that was producing alcoholic ayurvedic syrup exclusively for the Gujarat market. The factory had already sent around 200,000 bottles of the syrup to Gujarat in the past year. During the police operation, a significant amount of raw material, enough to produce another 200,000 bottles, was seized.
