Nonprofit organization works as ‘safety net’ for Southeast Asian community across NYC

A nonprofit organization provides care to Southeast Asian immigrants who need help adjusting to the fast pace living of New York City.
Khamarin Nhann, the campaign director of Mekong NYC, says the Southeast Asian community has deep roots in the Bronx that start in the early 1980s. This community has a rich history of refugees and immigrants coming in, even to this day, he says.
This is why it s common for some Vietnamese and Cambodian immigrants and refugees to need a helping hand when it comes to life in New York City. Nhann says this is where Mekong NYC comes in.
