Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria confirmed this, saying Khairul Anuar had asked to be replaced as he will be in action the following day. Khairul Norza said Khairul Anuar is set to compete in the qualifying round of the recurve mixed team event with Syaqiera Mashayikh at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field on July 24.
