JOHOR BARU: The Johor state election this time is set to be the most crowded one in history with 239 candidates, including 16 independents, engaged in multi-cornered fights in all 56 state seats.
JOHOR BARU, Feb 19 PKR today named social-environmental activist Khairuddin A. Rahim as PKR’s Rengit state seat candidate, making him the last of the party’s contestants for the upcoming state election. The 62-year-old Senggarang incumbent had previously contested under Parti Amanah Negara.
SOME 141 female entrepreneurs in Johor including single mothers have been given assistance in the form of equipment to facilitate their businesses this year.
JOHOR BARU: Three Johor Parti Amanah Negara assemblymen have left the party to join PKR.
The three are Senggarang assemblyman Khairuddin A. Rahim, Mahkota assemblyman Muhamad Said Jonit and Serom assemblyman Faizul Amri Adnan.
Khairuddin confirmed that they had joined PKR since last year.
“We sent in our applications around September last year and it was approved somewhere around November.
“I left the party as I wanted to contest for a parliamentary seat but there are limited seats for Johor Amanah to contest in, ” he said, adding that he had not sent any formal request to leave Amanah as it was not required for him to do so.
