At least three people have been killed and dozens of others wounded as a huge explosion ripped through a mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday evening, police said.
A huge bomb attack at a mosque in Kabul has reportedly killed at least 21 people, including a prominent cleric during evening prayers. At least 33 others were wounded during the attack. Al Jazeera quoted a police spokesperson as giving a death toll of 21. “Yesterday an explosion occurred in a mosque … during evening prayers. As a result 21 of our citizens were martyred and 33 were wounded,” Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said in a statement on Thursday.
