The Air Task Force component of Nigerian military operation, Hadin Kai, has killed dozens of suspected Boko Haram and Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) fighters in their enclaves in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. The Air force conducted the operations between Christmas Eve and Tuesday, which neutralised an unspecified number of insurgents in Sheutari and Mantari in Lawanti/Mallam Mastari/ Abbaram Ward of Bama council. It was gathered that these two communities, Sheutari and Mantari, are currently under the deadly group as part of Sambisa forests.

Troops of the Nigerian Army in a joint military operation involving air and ground components have killed three Boko Haram terrorist commanders including Khaids Abbah Tukur, Maimusari and Bakura Jega in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria. The outcome of the operation which took place on Tuesday was made known when the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Faruq Yahaya, and his counterpart, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, arrived in Maiduguri on Sunday morning to celebrate the Yuletide with frontline troops.
