Our Correspondent Imphal, Oct. 17 (EMN): Manipur Health, Information and Public relations Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh on Monday launched “India Hypertension Control Initiative” in Manipur on the occasion of the observance of World Heart Day at Kangmong in the outskirts of Imphal. Director, Health Services Manipur, Dr. Kh Sasheekumar Mangang, Director( National Health Mission-NHM, Manipur) Dr. Somorjit Ningombam, and Joint Director(Health Services) Dr. Y Premchandra were also present during the launching function. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ranjan said that the heart is one of the most important organs of the human body, and can be taken care of through regular exercises and good food. ‘Keeping tension and stress away will also help to keep our heart healthy and strong’, he added.
