Russian universities, which have some 16,000 Indian students, reportedly made efforts to reach out to Indian students who returned from Ukraine, while Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in an interview said that the country is willing to admit the students into their medical institutions when they are ready.
The Indian Embassy in Kyiv has decided to organise flights from Kyiv to Delhi, "in view of the continued high level of tensions and uncertainties of the current situation in Ukraine." The advisory further listed the available flights from Kyiv to New Delhi with the booking procedure.
Student claims university warn of serious consequences if they go back to their countries and attend online classes. As there are around 18,000 Indian students in Ukraine, most of them pursuing medical courses, the Indian Embassy has asked them along with other nationals to leave the country temporarily if their stay is non-essential.
