MUSKEGON, MI – When the do-gooder foursome put out a call for Christmas donations in early November, they were hoping they could collect 500 toys.
After all, time was short and this was the first time they had organized such an ambitious drive.
The Muskegon area friends shouldn’t have worried.
So far, donations total more than 850, and counting.
“My heart is just so overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity in Muskegon,” said Tina Grissom, one of the organizers of the community toy drive. “It’s remarkable. It does rebuild your faith to see there are genuine people who want to give – who want to help.”
