responsibility will be to actually lay out that evidence for us in the senate. we ll see how much evidence there is and how much time it will take, but i think we should do whatever is appropriate and take the time that s needed. you know i cover the white house for the rest of my day here at nbc news and one of the things i ve heard from sources close to the administration and this president is that they don t believe that this testimony so far has changed the mi minds of any republican senators, keyed in, given it would take about 20 to defect and remove the president. based on the private conversations i would imagine you ve had does that seem plausible? does that seem right to you, do you think? i think most senators will wait to make their judgements after they hear evidence but i ve seen a lack of leadership on the republican side. i ve not seen many people stand up to do what s right under this presidency and i do believe some republicans are just happy to be in power and so
