RICHMOND, Va. (WHSV) â The Virginia Department of Healthâs COVIDWISE app will now work across Washington, D.C. and an additional 15 states that have a similar app, VDH reports.
The COVIDWISE app helps to alert a user if they have been physically close to someone who has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to a statement from the Virginia Department of Health, COVIDWISE is now participating with the Association of Public Health Laboratoriesâ (APHL) National Key Server, which will allow the app to interoperate with Washington, D.C. and other statesâ apps that also use the server.
