Southwest announces daily service to Las Vegas, Denver from Fresno
On Wednesday, Southwest Airlines announced its initial launch for Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
The airline will soon offer nonstop service from the Central Valley to Denver International Airport and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. These airports offer travelers substantial connectivity to more than 50 airports, according to FAT officials.

Dec. 16 Southwest Airlines is expanding its service to include Fresno Yosemite International Airport beginning in the second quarter of 2021.
The airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew Watterson, said the expanded service in the state is focused on increasing the “reach of our low fares and flexible policies in places where we expect them to make a difference.”

The newest landing spots for the discount fare carrier are Santa Barbara and Fresno. Those additions now give Southwest coverage at 13 California airports from Sacramento all the way south to San Diego.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) Southwest Airlines plans to begin serving Santa Barbara Airport and Fresno Yosemite International Airport next year.
The airline said Wednesday it expects to begin flying in and out of the Central Coast and Central Valley airports in the second quarter of 2021.
Dallas-based Southwest Airlines Co. flew its first flight into Palm Springs last month, and the addition of Santa Barbara and Fresno will give the airline a presence at 13 California airports.
“For our residents, our partnership with Southwest will energize the economic rebound to come in 2021,” Santa Barbara Mayor Cathy Murillo said in a statement.
