Poulin is now working with various Dover400 committees to help lead planning, fundraising, campaign and donor efforts. There s a lot Dover400 wants to accomplish over the next three years, but I ll be making sure that we are keeping in touch with our history and our culture, Poulin said. I love coordinating events and working with the different committees and the board.
Poulin has more than 37 years of experience in the financial industry, has worked with several local nonprofits like Hope on Haven Hill, and is currently a licensed real estate agent.
Following the announcement of her new role, Poulin answered some questions Thursday on how she plans to tackle the job.
Dover400 lecture series: A look at Dover s railroads

DOVER Dover400, a committee of residents organizing Dover’s 400th anniversary, continues its virtual lecture series on Tuesday, June 8 at 7 p.m. with an online presentation about the history of railroads in Dover.
This educational and entertaining webinar will include a general analysis of the railroad s history in the Dover area, including a look at the lines and facilities which helped accelerate Dover s importance as a manufacturing and residential center on the Seacoast. A look at the people, machines, and processes will help outline the historical role the railroads played in this area and the ongoing vitality of the railroad to this region. Rare photos from private collections, as well as the Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society s archives will help illustrate this exceptional history.

DOVER – The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of the City forum Thursday, April 22 from 9 to 10 a.m. in an online format. The virtual event is free, but pre-registration is required at dovernh.org/SOTC.
The event, underwritten by Eversource, will take place via Zoom video conference with a livestream on the chamber’s Facebook page. It will also be recorded and made available through both the chamber and city websites. In addition to Eversource, the event is sponsored by Newburyport Bank.
The forum will feature Assistant City Manager and Director of Planning and Strategic Initiatives Christopher G. Parker, who will discuss the city s master plan, why master plans are critical for municipalities, and how Dover approaches the process. Additional speakers include Mayor Robert Carrier and Kevin McEneaney, chairman of Dover’s 400th Anniversary Committee.
