Global investment solutions firm Russell Investments has announced a slew of senior appointments at what it describes as a “critical time” for the business.
Kate El-Hillow has joined Russell as global chief investment officer, while Kevin Klingert has been hired as president. Ms El-Hillow has held several senior investment roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, while Mr Klinger has held leadership roles at BlackRock and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Both will report to chief executive Michelle Seitz.

Russell Investments has appointed a new global chief investment officer and president, amid other leadership changes at the firm.
The consulting firm appointed Goldman Sachs’ Kate El-Hillow as its new global chief investment officer, as well as Kevin Klingert, previously at Morgan Stanley, as its president. Both appointees will report to Chairman and CEO Michelle Seitz and serve on the executive committee.
“Kate and Kevin join us at a critical time,” Seitz said in a statement. While Russell Investments is an 85-year-old investment firm, the company is looking to expand its global franchise. Seitz noted that just one in four asset owners with less than $10 billion in assets have outsourced their investments.

Russell Investments has named Kate El-Hillow as global chief investment officer and Kevin Klingert as president following various other changes to its senior leadership team.
El-Hillow, who held several senior investment leadership roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, brings vast expertise in portfolio management, trading, outsourced CIO and multi-asset investment solutions.
Klingert has extensive industry experience in managing global operations and distribution. He has held leadership roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and BlackRock. Both El-Hillow and Klingert will serve on Russell Investments’ executive committee and report to chair and CEO Michelle Seitz.
