Howard bernstein. We fill have some problems we have to get through. Today was a fine day across the region. Right now, we are watching Tropical Storm bonnie. This thing is a mess. Dry air, wind sheer. Probably wont get much more organized but theres a lot of rain, some of this will make a turn and be with us for parts of memorial day, you can see the high clouds coming in. Temperatures are running mostly in the 70s in a couple of spots as you head toward the bay and the upper 60s and low 70s. Thats what we are watching. Tomorrow, the morning and midday look fine. As the afternoon wears on, we will see clouds roll in. Not as warm as today. Only in the low 80s. A chance for a couple of showers and storms to develop. And i think tomorrow night into monday morning might be the best chance for us to see some rain, but, that doesnt mean we wont be out monday afternoon either. Greater San Francisco. His team is one year into this massive project. Called habitat terrace, an army of volunteers is building 28 affordable, Single Family homes for lowe income families and theyre determined to not let one burned down home ruin morale. Really this isnt going to set us back. Its a gut check but not a body blow. Reporter habitat said the home was 90 framed before the blaze. Plumbing and electrical was next. Victoria van dine helped build the home and is sad to see it like this. I was tearing up in the car on the way here. Im not feeling that great about it. But i like roof systems and ill do it again. Reporter for now, firefighters have ordered all construction to stop as the investigation continues. But volunteers promise to be back. Theres at least another years worth of building and no one is letting one fire cause the whole project to go up in smoke. This will be a sobering moment for them but i cant imagine it wont engender even more energy to rebuild. Well do it
