The marathon Democratic primary for Montgomery County, Maryland, executive came to an end Wednesday, as the recount confirming the victory of incumbent Marc Elrich over businessman David Blair was certified.
After four days of recounting, election officials in Montgomery County say they are getting closer to finishing their work to determine who won the Democratic Primary for County Executive.
With re-counted and audited results from early voting and 12 of 13 election districts on Election Day, incumbent Marc Elrich gained one additional vote and challenger David Blair gained two as of Sunday night.
