PEOPLE are being reminded that there will be no Falmouth Harmony Choir this year after the 2020 performance was cancelled because of the Covid pandemic. The choir says this is the first time in its 120 year history that there has not been a Christmas Eve performance, not even stopping for two world wars. The choir says social distancing would have been impossible in the streets which would usually be crowded with shoppers. Last year the choir raised £1492.86 for charity and is appealing for volunteer collectors to help them raise money on Christmas Eve 2021, their 122nd annual performance. A post on the choir s website say: Next year, on Christmas Eve (2021), it will be the 122nd annual performance of the Harmony Choir (previously the Docks Choir) who will hopefully, virus permitting, going through Falmouth, stopping along the way to entertain the public with traditional Cornish carols and raising money for local charities.
