It could still be a while before the Brooklyn Nets have their full complement of stars on the court together. Kevin Durant will miss even more time after the All-Star break with no target date for his return.
Durant will miss his 10th straight game with a hamstring injury Thursday night when Brooklyn hosts the Boston Celtics. Nets head coach Steve Nash said Wednesday that Durant will have another scan on his hamstring next week, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.
Nash noted that Durant will have an “appropriate ramp up” time before he plays in a game. The first year-coach said Durant is doing really well, though the superstar is still not playing 5-on-5 in practice.
Kevin Durant Injury Update: Star Missing More Games As James Harden Carries Nets

The Brooklyn Nets continued their winning ways Wednesday night, routing the Houston Rockets 132-114 in their final game before the 2021 All-Star break. While James Harden led the team with a 29-point triple-double, Kevin Durant wasn’t even in attendance.
Durant was back in Brooklyn, working with his physiotherapist as he recovers from a hamstring injury. The superstar has missed nine straight games, and the Nets are in no rush to get their best player back on the court.
Brooklyn is being extremely cautious with Durant, who missed all of last season with a torn Achilles. His current hamstring strain, COVID-19 protocols and resting on the second half of back-to-back games has forced Durant to miss nearly half of Brooklyn’s first 37 games.
