Vintage Bob Dylan plays on the stereo during a busy lunch hour Wednesday afternoon at 2 Guys Pizza, a 60 s-themed restaurant whose owners are as warm and friendly as the Summer of Love itself.
Meet John and Melody Crawford, a longtime married couple who have demonstrated the courage of their convictions by substituting plant-based products to a reworked, vegan-friendly menu that no longer lists ribs or their once enormously popular chicken wings.
“It’s the animal thing for me and my husband,” said Melody Crawford, a longtime vegetarian. “It got to the point that it didn’t feel good anymore serving (meat). It didn’t feel like we were doing the right thing by promoting the wings … or promoting the ribs.
