One of the bart trains caught fire last evening and that trend was the cure overnight. The orinda station remains on the tracks this monring. Bart inspectors will continue today to inspect the damage and figure what caused yesterday afternoons incident the Fire Department arrived within minutes of the call and quickly put out the fire. Fire Officials Say the fire was located underneath one of the middle cars. And, the smoke from that fire billowed into the passenger compartments as it pulled into the station. Passengers say the Fire Department did a great job keeping everyone calm and evacuating them safely. Take a look at this cell phone video that was shot by a passenger who was evacuated from the smoking train at the orinda station. The call came out just after five and firefighters were quick on the scene to put the fire out and to assist the passengers with their escape.
