Kenworth Sales Company was named the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award winner for the United States and Canada during the recent Kenworth Dealer Meeting.
“The Kenworth Dealer of the Year award means a great deal to us, especially for 2020,” said Kyle Treadway, president and dealer principal for Kenworth Sales Company. “This special honor recognizes the extra work and dedication our employees are giving during very difficult times. Our people rose to the challenge and showed their very best in helping our customers succeed. This award puts the icing on the cake for us in 2020.”
Kenworth Sales Company marked its 75th anniversary last year. “It was bittersweet in a way, since we were unable to celebrate our milestone anniversary in the way we would have liked to do so with our employees and customers,” said Treadway.

Kenworth launched the new Kenworth T680 Next Generation on-highway flagship during a virtual introduction Feb. 11. The T680 Next Gen expands upon the success of the classic Kenworth T680.
The Kenworth T680 Next Gen offers technology advancements, including a 15-in. digital display, Next Gen SmartWheel, fully LED headlamps, under-the-vehicle airflow management, additional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a sleek high-tech design that balances aerodynamics and serviceability.

Semiconductor chips require assembly lead times as long as several weeks – if not months – and the demand for new vehicles was not expected to be so strong coming out of a pandemic-depressed economy.
A global shortage of semiconductor chips has thrown vehicle production plans for some of the world s largest automakers into question.
Ford and GM are among the major players to already announce production limitations that could last into the spring. The chip shortage was spurred by COVID-related vehicle assembly plant shutdowns. With production lines stopped, semiconductor manufacturers pivoted capacity to consumer electronics – sales of which were surging on stay-at-home orders and prodded by a new remote workforce.
The new Kenworth T680 s are equipped with a 15-inch digital instrument cluster and offer 10% better aerodynamics over the prior generation. More on CCJ.
