Monson to hire an interim town administrator after Evan Brassard readies to take Grafton post Updated Jan 27, 2021; MONSON The town of Grafton has scooped up two Monson officials to serve as that municipality’s finance director/town accountant and town administrator. Beginning in early to mid February, Monson Town Administrator Evan Brassard will assume the role of Grafton’s town administrator and Monson Town Accountant/Finance Director Mary Lauria will step into the role of Grafton’s finance/director/town accountant. “Not that it’s a secret at this point, because the internet exists, but I have been tapped to be the next town administrator in Grafton,” Brassard said during the Monson Select Board meeting held earlier this month. “I am currently in negotiations with the Town of Grafton. While the negotiations are not final, I would anticipate I will be submitting a resignation to the board in fairly short order.”
