The woman who was doused with gasoline and set ablaze by a man said to be her boyfriend in Hanover last week, is to leave the island on Thursday to undergo critical surgery in the United States.
The police reported that Nicola Clarke, who operates a car wash and bar in Great River, Hanover, was attacked and set on fire by her boyfriend who accused her of being unfaithful.
“Family members of Kerry Ann reached out to the Sanmerna Foundation and asked how we could assist and immediately we reached out to our partners overseas, and so far we have managed to raise some funds to fly the female to hospital to as quickly as possible get the necessary assistance in the form of surgery,” Stephen Josephs, Project Manager at Sanmerna Foundation, told Loop News.
