Remember when Brunswick Street in Fitzroy and King Street in Newtown were the hubs of Australian indie music? If you do, then you’re likely aged somewhere between 40 and 60 and spent more than a few nights watching bands through a haze of ciggie smoke at venues such as Melbourne’s Punters Club and/or Sydney’s Sandringham Hotel.
