‘Playing Cupid’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
02/13/21 AT 8:00 AM
Hallmark Channel is continuing to bring the love with its newest “Love Ever After” film, “Playing Cupid,” which stars Laura Vandervoort and Nicholas Gonzalez.
While fans likely recognize both stars for other work, the movie will be exciting for Hallmarkies as well, because this will be the first film they have each starred in on the network. Vandervoort is best known in recent years for her role as Elena Michaels on “Bitten,” and for her recent Lifetime Christmas movie, “A Christmas Exchange.”
Gonzalez, however, may be recognizable to some for his role in the UpTV movie “Christmas on the Range” in 2019, but his television roles are the ones he is best identified by. Previously, he portrayed Detective Marco Furey on “Pretty Little Liars” and Orlando Lagos on “being Mary Jane,” but these days, he is best known as Dr. Neil Melendez from “The Good Doctor.”
