Community members went before county supervisors this week to express concerns about the speed of counting ballots and the update of vote counts in Kern County.
Redistricting is the process of redrawing district lines based on data from the census. The latest count was in 2020, so the upcoming primary election on June 7 will have new lines.
The start of the election season is here and Kern County registered voters will soon get their mail-in ballots as the first batch was officially sent out Monday.
Election ballots are being mailed out on May 9th ahead of the June 7th California primary elections. But there is election buzz already happening this week at the Kern County Board of Supervisors meeting. At one point, Kern County's voting process was in jeopardy.
