Marlborough Squash has successfully defended the Heaphy Shield in Blenheim, dropping only three matches at weekend, to win by a record 29 matches against Nelson’s 17 matches and West Coast 2 matches. The NBS Nelson Bays team didn’t get the strong start they hoped for and lacked the depth needed to match a very strong Marlborough women’s team, who didn’t drop a match all weekend. However, Nelson Bays should take heart from a strong performance against the West Coast and some very good wins against the Marlborough men over the weekend.
