Kerala government has lifted the Sunday lockdown imposed in the wave of increase in Covid cases. Schools and colleges have been allowed to conduct classes till evening.
Kerala on Friday recorded 54,537 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. The surge in cases is caused by Omicron, which is the dominant variant in the state.
Kerala recorded 49,711 new Covid cases, a 127% increase in number of fresh cases since last week. There are over three lakh active Covid cases in the state.
