All of the West Indian players, who were called up for the Test and ODI squad arrived together, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said.
The Caribbean side will play two Tests and three-match ODI series, which will be Bangladeshâs first International series in the pandemic time.
The Covid-19 already had a direct effect on the tour after West Indies fast bowler Romario Shepherd, who was part of the touristsâ ODI squad, returned a positive result in Guyana prior to their departure. Keon Harding, the 24-year-old Barbados fast bowler was named as Shepherdâs replacement, making it nine uncapped players in the 15-man ODI squad.

DHAKA: All-rounder Romario Shepherd has failed a coronavirus test ahead of the West Indies’ arrival in Bangladesh, further depleting a squad already reeling from coronavirus problems.
The West Indies squad, due to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday, has already lost eight established stars including Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo who chose not to travel in the pandemic.
West Indies have called up Keon Harding to replace Shepherd in the squad which will play three one-day internationals, two Twenty20s and two Tests in Bangladesh.
The tourists will undergo seven days’ quarantine after their arrival. The first ODI is January 20.
Depleted by stars refusing to tour during the coronavirus pandemic, West Indies players will face multiple Covid-19 tests in Bangladesh before they even get close to a five-day match against their hosts. The normally carefree Caribbean stars have been put on edge by a trip to South Asia and captain Jason Holder along with Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo will be among a host of players missing when the squad arrives on Sunday. The tourists will.
