Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Wrapping up the regular season on Friday, Scott City would face Hugoton for their final tuneup before regional play on Monday. The Lady Beavers would start slowly in the first game and build up steam after that, as they picked up a pair of run-rule games 11-0 and 21-6.

A scoreless game would change with two outs in the bottom of the first, when Malorie Cupp took a fly ball over the centerfield fence to give Scott City a 1-0 lead.
