Charlotte man charged with shooting woman, teen in Shelby

A teenager accused of shooting a woman and her daughter is being held without bond in the Cleveland County jail.
Zaire Ali Muhammad, 18, of Charlotte, was arrested Wednesday night.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
According to Shelby Police, Muhammad fired the non-fatal shots on Gold Street on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Investigators believe Muhammad shot Kenya Youngblood, 35, and her 16-year-old daughter because of an argument online.
According to police, Youngblood’s daughter and another teen were having a dispute over social media, and Muhammad is believed to have been acquaintances with the other teen.
