âThese upgrades probably should have been made a year or two ago,â he said. âWe were waiting on equipment to be bought and other things to be done.â
A fourth item the court approved at its meeting was for the purchase of wheeled excavator road equipment for the Trigg County Road Department at a cost of $98,891. Alexander said the county has $145,900 left in its equipment account, and given that, he didnât see any issues with buying the equipment or having any problems with anything else needing to be replaced before the end of the fiscal year.
The excavation equipment is being purchased from Rudd Equipment Co., in Evansville, Ind.
