Kentucky has some of the highest rates in the nation when it comes to drug overdoses. It is a problem that has only been compounded by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This is why police agencies say the drug take back events held in communities across the country on Saturday are so important.

Nonprofit PAC Kentucky for Strong Families (KSF) filed an ethics complaint against newly-elected State Representative Josh Bray last week.
Bray will represent the 71st district after the new year, which covers Rockcastle and Garrard Counties and part of Madison, in the Kentucky State House. He is also Mount Vernonâs city administrator. As city administrator, Bray will have the influence to steer taxpayer dollars to potential donors to his re-election campaigns. Having loaned his campaign $10,000 to buy his seat, he may have reason to, the KSF release stated.
âBray took thousands from big business. It might as well have been a personal check,â said Rebecca Blankenship, KSFâs executive director. âAnything he raised could go right to paying himself.â
