Open-Air Markets Returning For 2021

The open-air markets in downtown Kenora are returning this summer for a second year. Dustin Fuller is the Vice President of the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce and says it’s a chance for different groups to come together and support local. “What’s nice about it is that Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic and replaced with a pop-up market,” says Fuller, “You’ll have local businesses, artisans, organizations and musicians and we hope to attract the same enthusiasm that we did last year.” He tells us what motived them to start the markets last summer.

Open Air Market in 2020 Article continues below advertisement ↴ The Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Kenora, Kenora Hospitality Alliance, and Harbourtown BIZ, will be bringing back three open air markets for the 2021 summer season.  It s been wonderful working with the City. They have been fantastic in supporting the Chamber and supporting this event, because at the end of the day - it s going towards supporting local businesses. Also for providing the space for visitors and residents to come and buy people s wares, socialize and eat, says Dustin Fuller, Vice-President of KDCC.  Throughout the markets, COVID-19 precautions will be in place and organizers are hopeful restrictions will ease by then.
