Jillian breaking right now maryland congressman at House Oversight chairman Elijah Cummings has died. Rob Aishah Hasnie joins us with more of what we know. Reporter cummings representatives tell us he passed away at Johns Hopkins hospital after complications from longstanding health problems. He died just before 3 00 this morning. Cummings served as chairman of the committee on oversight and reform as the Main Investigative Committee in the house of representatives. He obtained his bachelors degree in Political Science from Howard University and graduated from the university of Maryland School of law. He has been out of congress for at least a month. He was supposed to return to his office this week.
