Terrebonne seafood company owner, former councilman, charged with record violations
A former Terrebonne council member was one of two seafood company owners cited this week for records violations, state officials said.
The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries cited Al Marmande, 62, of Houma, and Kenneth J. Templet Jr., 51, of Pierre Part, for failing to maintain records pertaining to trip tickets or records for a portion of their commercial seafood, officials said.
Agents were conducting seafood inspections in lower Terrebonne Parish Wednesday when they found that neither owner completed the required information.
Marmande, who owns Al’s Shrimp Co. in Dularge, is the former council member of District 7 which includes parts of Bayou Black, Gibson, Dulac, Dularge and Theriot. The seat is now occupied by council member Danny Babin.
