The New York State Government in the United States has officially decriminalised the sale of recreational cannabis on Thursday, marking an end to decades-long restriction. New York Times reports that in March 2021, the state legislature passed the first-of-its law to prioritise people that had been affected by the enforcement of marijuana laws to benefit from early business opportunities in the new industry. But before the new law went into effect in the midafternoon on Thursday, there was no way for consumers to legally purchase cannabis in the state.
The NY State Department of Health issued the plea today, saying e-cigarettes can cause long-term health issues to users and people exposed to second-hand vapor.
