Hesperia man hit Big Lots employee with car during robbery, authorities say

A man accused of hitting a store employee with his car while allegedly stealing merchandise was expected to appear in court Thursday.
Kenneth Deshon Berry, 50, of Hesperia, faces potential charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Each charge carries sentencing enhancements for great bodily injury on a person, using a deadly weapon and committing a crime while bail or release, court records show.
Berry was scheduled to be arraigned in Victorville Superior Court. Hearing information was not immediately available Thursday.
Authorities said deputies responded to an assault Monday morning in the parking lot of the Big Lots in the 14700 block of La Paz Drive in Victorville.
