Razorback vaulter Amanda Fassold set a pair of outdoor career best marks in winning the pole vault during a cold and windy outing at the John McDonnell Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Amanda Fassold, who competed at NCAA Division II Azusa (Calif) Pacific, is showing she's ready for Division I competition at the University of Arkansas.
Arkansas will host a field of 18 schools in the John McDonnell Invitational, which will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 7-8. This will be the first of four outdoor meets the Razorbacks host at John McDonnell Field this season.
Razorback Lauren Gregory produced a winning debut of 32 minutes, 34.21 seconds in the 10,000m Invitational on a cool Friday evening at the Stanford Invitational held at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
