Astronaut Michael Collins, who was part of the Apollo 11 crew which first landed on the moon, has died at the age of 90.
Collins family confirmed the news on Wednesday in a statement on Twitter, saying he passed after a valiant battle with cancer.

Initially scheduled to liftoff Thursday morning at 6:11 a.m. ET from NASA s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, agency leaders confirmed Wednesday that the event is now targeted for 5:49 a.m. ET on Friday.
The delay, NASA explained in a release, is due to unfavorable weather conditions that were forecast along the flight path for Thursday.
The spacecraft is anticipated to dock at the space station at around 5:10 a.m. ET on Saturday.
