It is EXACTLY what it sounds like! The local chambers of commerce are encouraging people to continue to support local business. Let’s face it for most local businesses the last year has been….hard. When you support local businesses, you support the community and the people those business employees.
How can I help?
You can go and do business with a local place…eat in a local restaurant, buy a gift card or use that service. You can do something as easy as leaving a positive review for a business you like or just share some positive experiences about local businesses on your social media or with a friend.

According to a Facebook event page made by the Kennebec Valley Chamber, they are hosting a Women s Network Virtual Paint Night. Lori Miller of Rare Bird Art Studio in Augusta will be the inspiring lady leading this 2-hour virtual paint night.
The event s cost is $30 per person and comes with everything you will need, 9x12 canvas, brush, paints, and a paint pallet. Supplies will need to be picked up at the Kennebec Valley Chamber on February 8th, or 9th, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Shop Local Program encourages gift certificate holders to shop locally and keep money right here in the central Maine area. Over 100 KV Chamber member businesses accept these gift certificates. Places like restaurants, auto repair shops, gyms, and retail locations are on the list. Kennebec Valley Chamber’s certificates are sold in $5, $10, $25, and $50 denominations and there are no additional fees.
