QLD COVID: Passengers monitored after people infectious on incoming Queensland flights

Advertisement Queensland has recorded five new COVID-19 cases overnight in returned international travellers, with all detected in hotel quarantine. No locally acquired COVID cases were reported. Queensland continues to leave the border open to regional NSW, although Mr Miles said the situation was being monitored closely. “Pleasingly, the ongoing monitoring of sewage indicates that the outbreak there is largely contained to Greater Sydney, meaning that the restrictions in place in Greater Sydney mean that we don’t yet have to put in place greater border restrictions here,” he said.
